Rally, track day, Nordschleife life and road trip addict, Phil Royle is an NCTJ-trained national news journalist, diverting into motoring magazines in 1997, as features editor at Revs magazine. Phil went freelance in 1999, working for many top UK motoring titles, editing Circuit Driver and launching Performance Tuner.

Bonnie Coupland: Art Editor & Publisher
Being bought up to love grass track, Mini and drag racing means ROAD magazine and blog design ace Bonnie had a taste for burning rubber and petrol from a very young age. And going on to be an art editor on some of the UK’s leading motoring titles for seven years only fueled this fascination.
Bonnie is also the Head of Design for www.roylemedia.co.uk, creating bespoke designs for editorial, PR, marketing and weddings.

Neil Denham: Road Staff Photographer
Smiley northern lad Neil has been behind his Canon for 22 years, and loves it – snapping every aspect of his eclectic life, for some of the leading ad agencies and media outlets in Europe. See www.denhamphoto.co.uk for more of his amazing work.
The son of a haulier, Neil is also handy with the spanners, having built two cars and has owned 25 to date.

Pete Bisset: Road’s IT guru
A former track day organiser with RMA and now a website designer, Peter Bisset is delighted to join the Road Team to assist with internet marketing. Pete runs www.devoteddomains.com and helps create and market the Road Magazine and blog newsletters, and assists with IT and web services.

Ashley Van Dyke: Road USA
TV presenter, fashion model and high-speed race car driver, Ashley Van Dyke is the first lady of ROAD, flying the flag for us in the States. Raised on a diet of Nascar and stock car racing, the glamorous and gregarious Ashley is a road rally demi-God, track driving ‘hand’ and all-round superstar. She also helps run www.globaltunergp.com, as featured in Road Magazine, issue 9
